Prior to joining the Center for Advanced Microscopy, Amy also worked as a a histologist at the Toledo Hospital, an EM technologist at the Toledo Medical Center, an electron and confocal microscopy specialist at Johns Hopkins, and an electron microscopist at the University of Cincinnati Department of Surgical Pathology.
