2025 fall course visits to the CAM

Students look at microscopes with the help of CAM scientistsConsider adding a visit to the Center for Advanced Microscopy as part of your course experience! We love meeting new students and sharing the excitement and power of microscopy and its many flavors.

This fall, so far the CAM hosted a range of undergraduate and graduate student courses for tours and demonstrations, including: BMB 829 Special Problems in Macromolecular Analysis and Synthesis, GLG 321 Mineralogy and Geochemistry, STA 488/ 888: Art and Science in the Laboratory, and UGS 200H Honors Research Seminar: Sands of Mars.

In the photos, Dr. Alicia Withrow is demonstrating the JEOL 1400 Flash TEM and Dr. Sara Makaremi is introducing the Leica Stellaris confocal microscope.
